A sea of people pulses to the rythm of island drums-bodies close, hands raised, eyes lit with shared joy. "Perang Pandan" is a traditional Balinese ritualistic combat ceremony held in the village of Tenganan. The ceremony involves young men using bundles of thorny pandan leaves as weapons in a ritualistic fight, often performed as part of the larger Usaba Sambah festival dedicated to the Hindu god Indra. Captured in monochrome to highlight the textures, gestures, and timeless spirit of celebration.
